Matthiae noted a particular type of open bowl recovered from Palace G with a “rilled-rim.” Jars also appear with this style of rim, thickened on the outside, and decorated with two or three “beads” or “rills.” A related style are the “corrugated beakers” which we discussed in the previous entry. This style arose with the use of the fast wheel. As with Simple Ware, the fabric is a light color and well fired, giving it a metallic feel.
